“Lieux Communs is an urban vineyard located at the Central Market of Montreal since 2021.
We apply ancestral techniques and a minimalist aesthetic to hybrid grapes and new vineyards at the northern limit of viticulture in Quebec and Ontario.
Our juices ferment naturally and often very quickly, slowed only by the autumn and winter cold. The resulting wines are pure, vibrant, and both intriguing and enjoyable.
Our ciders and piquettes are blank canvases for experimentation with infusion and co-fermentation. Flowers, teas, herbs, berries, honey, and grape skins become the colors on our palette. Less alcohol, freshness, often canned. As much terroir as any grape wine, but younger, fresher, and more joyful.
